e-governance

E-Governance means getting automated. However, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken a broader view of the concept and is planning to use technology as a means of providing public with a central point of access to government services and not merely as getting the several departments of government automated so that they act like isolated islands of information and services. It is in pursuance of this broader vision of e- governance that the government has decided to establish an automated system of public complaint, Redressal for Government Departments. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Redressal System will be launched for all the Departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, initially starting for five departments’ i.e. Elementary and Secondary Education, Local Government, Health, Revenue and Police. Of the many intended impacts of e-Government the three most important are as follows: Better delivery of government services to citizens, Improved interactions with business and industry, Citizen empowerment through access to information.
