Dealing with electricity act 1910 and Electricity Rules 1937,

Instruction given to the industrial and Commercial Establishment to maintain their Electrical system as per Electricity Safety Rules 1937

Initially prior to energization of Electrical Installation.

No objection certificate issued to the effect that Electrical Installation are executed as per Elect.

Frequency of Renewal is annual.

No special documents required for routine annual inspection but for initial approval only an application and Test-Report submission is necessary.

Rules 60 & 62 of the Electricity Rules 1937

Inspection fee is charged for initial inspection as well as for annual inspection.
Electricity duty is also imposed on self- generation of Electric Power under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Act 1964.

There is specified no time for issuance of such NOC/Approval in the Rules, however, usually as and when documents completed by the management, document approval is issued fortnight.

From 10 KW up to any load by the Electric Inspector at Head office while from 10 KW up to 500 KW load by the Deputy Eclectic Inspector in their respective regional jurisdiction.
