Online Application Process

Through Online Application, the applicant will have to create his/ her login. Once user credentials are verified and a login account is created, the applicant can proceed further to process their passport applications. The applicant has the choice to save the application at any stage. The application works in a wizard type and applicants will be asked to provide their detail including demographic data, biometric data along with supporting documents.

1-Fee Payment:

The mode of payment of fee is a credit card or debit card, once all application requirements are completed and reviewed, and necessary payment of the fee for passport, the application will be submitted for onward processing.

2-Verification of Documents:

All submitted applications are reviewed at DGIP Headquarters and the decision is based on the provided documents. The passport officer would either approve for onward processing or mark the applications for further verification to the nearest Mission / RPO. Once all codal formalities are complete, the application will be approved for passport printing/ dispatch to the applicant.

3-Application Status Intimation:

Applicants will be kept informed about the current status of their passport applications through their registered email addresses.
