No.      PA/NWFP/Legis/91/10231._ The North-West Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill, 1991, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province on the 10th June, 1991 and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on the 17th June, 1991 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of North-West Frontier Province.


THE NORTH-WEST FRONTIER PROVINCE BOARDS OF INTERMEDIATE AND SECONDARY EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1991.

[First published after having received the assent of the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province in the Gazette of North-West Frontier Province (Extraordinary), dated 20th June, 1991].
AN
ACT
to amend the North-West Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1990.
Preamble.---     WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the North-West Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1990 (N.W.F.P. Act V of 1990), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted as follows:-
1.         Short title and commencement.---    (1) This Act may be called the North-West Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Act, 1991.
(2)        It shall come into force at once.
2.         Amendment of section 5of NWFP Act V of 1990.--- In the North-West Frontier Province Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1990 (N.W.F.P. Act V of 1990), hereinafter referred to as the said Act, in Section 5 in sub-section (1),_
                        (a)        for clause (ii) the following shall be substituted, namely:
"(ii) the Vice-Chancellors of all Universities in the North-West Frontier Province or Professors nominated by them";

  1. clause (iii) shall be omitted; and
  2. in clause (v), between the word "(Schools)" and the word "and" a comma and the words ", the Director of Technical Education", shall be inserted.

3.         Amendment of section 9 NWFP Act V of 1990.--- In the said Act, in Section 9,_

  1. in sub-section (1), for the word "six" the word "seven" shall be substituted; and
  2. in sub-section (2), for the word "six" the word "seven" shall be substituted.
