No. PA/NWFP/Legis/92/19450-51. — The North-West Frontier Province Government Servants Benevolent Fund (Amendment) Bill 1992, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province on the 8th September, 1992 and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on the 23rd September, 1992 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of North-West Frontier Province.

ACT

further to amend the North West Frontier Province, (Government Servants Benevolent Fund Ordinance, 1972.
Preamble.---    WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the North-West Frontier Province Government Servants Benevolent Fund Ordinance, 1972 (N.W.F.P. Ordinance No. VII of 1972), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted as follows:-
1.         Short title and commencement.--- (1) This Act may be called-the North West Frontier Province Government Servants Benevolent Fund (Amendment) Act, 1992.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2.         Amendment of section 4 of N.W.F.P. Ordinance VII of 1972.--- In the North West Frontier Province Government Servants Benevolent Fund Ordinance, 1972, the existing section 4 shall be numbered as sub-section (1) of section 4, and after sub-section (1) as so numbered, the following new sub-section shall be added, namely;
"(2)Notwithstanding the provisions contained in sub-section (I), Government may make such schemes as it considers necessary for the welfare of Government servants or their families and utilize the Fund to implement such schemes in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed".
3.         Validation .---Any act done or proceedings taken by Government within the
meaning of section 2 of this Act before its coming into force, shall be deemed to have validly done or taken and shall not be called in question in any Court.
