No. PA/NWFP/Legis:I/99/24272.—The North-West Frontier Province Sarhad Development Authority (Amendment) Bill, 1999, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province on the 22nd September, 1999 and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on 7th October, 1999, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of North-West Frontier Province.

ACT
to amend the North-West Frontier Province Sarhad Development Authority Act, 1972.
Preamble.—WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the North-West Frontier Province Sarhad Development Authority Act, 1972 (N.W.F.P. Act XI of 1973), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted as follows:—
1.         Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the North-
West Frontier Province Sarhad Development Authority (Amendment) Act, 1999.
(2)        It shall come into force at once.
2.         Insertion of Section 22A in N.W.F.P. Act XI of 1973.—In the North-West Frontier
Province Sarhad Development Authority Act, 1972 (N.W.F.P. Act XI of 1973), after section
22, the following new section 22A shall be inserted, namely:
"22A.   Recovery of Authority dues.

  1. The Authority may declare that any dues or class of dues recoverable by it
    from a defaulter shall be recoverable as arrears of land revenue.
  2. On a declaration under sub-section (1), any such dues shall be recovered by
    the Collector in the manner laid down in the Revenue Recoveries Act, 1890
    (Act No. I of 1890)."
