ACT
Further to amend the North-West Frontier Province Finance Ordinance, 1982.


Preamble.

            WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the North-West Frontier Province Finance Ordinance, 1982, for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:—


Short title and commencement.

1.         (1) This Act may be called the North-West Frontier Province Finance (Amendment) Act, 1985.

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on 1st July, 1984.


Amendment of section 4 of N.W.F.P Ord V of 1982.

2.         In the North-West Frontier Province Finance Ordinance. 1982 (N.-W. F. P. Ord: No. V of 1982), in section 4, in sub-section (1),—
  1. for the words and figure "at the rate of Rs. 2.50 per maund" the words- and figure "at the rate of Rs. 7.00 per bag" shall be substituted and
  2. at the end of sub-section (1) as so amended, the following explanation shall be inserted, namely:

"Explanation.—For the purposes of this section bag means a bag, the net weight of Gur wherein does not exceed 75 kilograms.".


Repeal.

3.         The North-West Frontier Province Finance (Amendment) Ordinance, 1985 (N.-W. F. P. Ordinance No. X of 1985), is hereby repealed.
