ACT
to amend the North- West Frontier Province Prohibition of Dancing Act, 1974.


Preamble

            WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the North-West Frontier Province Prohibition of Dancing Act, 1974 (N.-W.F.P. Act IV of 1974), in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:


Short title and commencement

1.         (1) This Act may be called the North-West Frontier Province Prohibition of Dancing (Amendment) Act, 1985.

(2) It shall come into force at once.


Amendment of section 3

2.         In the North-West Frontier Province Prohibition of Dancing Act, 1974 (N.-W. F. P. Act IV of 1974), in section 3,—
  1. in sub-section (2), for the words "five hundred rupees" the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted; and
  2. in sub-section (3), for the words "one month" the words "three months" and for the words "one thousand rupees" the words "four thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
