THE NORTH-WEST FRONTIER PROVINCE UNIVERSITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1976.

AN
ACT
to amend the enactments relating to Universities in the North-West Frontier Province.


            WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the enactments relating to Universities in the North-West Frontier Province, in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Preamble

It is hereby enacted as follows :-


1.         (1) This Act, may be called the North-West Frontier Province Universities (Amendment) Act, 1976.

Short title, extent and commencement.

(2) It shall come into force at once.


2.         In the University of Peshawar Act, 1974 (N.-W.F.P. Act II of 1974), in sect on 10, after sub-section (6), the following new sub-section shall be added, namely:-

"(7) Notwithstanding anything contained in this, Statues, Regulations or Rules, the Chancellor may—
            (a)     place the services of any of the officers, teachers or other employees of the Univesity at the disposal of Government or any other University or Institution for such period and on such terms and conditoins as may be determined by him; provided that such terms and conditions shall not be less favourable than those admissible to him immediately before his transfer ; and
            (b)    make appointment to any post in the University whether as a teacher or otherwise from persons in the service of Pakistan or from officers, teachers or other employees of any other University


3.         In the Gomal University Act, 1974 (N.-.W.F.P. Act X of 1974) in section 10, after sub-section (6), the following new sub-section shall be added namely:-

(7)" Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, Statues, Regulations or Rules, the Chancellor may-—

Repeal

4.         The North-West Frontier Province Universities (Amendment) Ordinance, 1976, (N.-W.F.P. Ordinance No. IX of 1976) is hereby repealed.
