N.-W.F.P. ORDINANCE NO. XLIII OF 2002.
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the North-West Frontier Province Elementary Education Foundation Ordinance, 2002.
WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the North-West Frontier Province Elementary Education Foundation Ordinance, 2002 (N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXX of 2000), in the manner hereinafter appearing;
AND WHEREAS the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, as amended uptodate, and the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of l999, read with Article 4 of the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order No. 9 of 1999, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:
1.       Short title and commencement.— (1) This Ordinance may be called the North-West Frontier Province Elementary Education Foundation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002.
(2)     It shall come into force at once.
2.       Amendment of section 4 of N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXX of 2002.— In the North- West Frontier Province Elementary Education Foundation Ordinance, 2002 (N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXX of 2002), hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in section 4, in sub-section (2), for clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely:
"(b) to improve literacy, with particular focus on women, through opening of new community and non-formal schools and employment of teachers;".
3.       Amendment of section 5 N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XXX of 2002.— In the said Ordinance, in section 5, in sub-section (1), in clauses (h), (i) and (l), for the words "Chief Executive", the word "Governor" shall be substituted.
