No. PA/NWFP/Legis-I/2003/18100.—The North-West Frontier Province Finance (Stamp Act Amendment) Bill, 2003 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province on the 26-06-2003 and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on 29-06-2003 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of the North-West Frontier Province.

[first published after having received the assent of the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province in the Gazette of the N.-W.F.P. (Extraordinary), dated the 2nd July, 2003].

ACT
further to amend the Stamp Act, 1899.
Preamble.--- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Stamp Act, 1899 (II of 1899); It is hereby enacted as follows:
1.             Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the North-West Frontier Province Finance (Stamp Act Amendment) Act, 2003.
(2)           It shall come into force on 1st day of July, 2003.
2.             Amendment of Act II of 1899.— In Stamp Act, 1899 (II of 1899), in Schedule I,—

1. in Article 4, column 3, for the words "twenty five rupees", the words "thirty rupees" shall be substituted:
2. in Article 48,—

(i)            for the existing entry in column 3 against clause (e), the following shall be substituted, namely;
"one rupee for every one hundred rupees of the amount of the consideration."; and
(ii)           after clause (e), as so amended, the following new clause "(ee)" shall be inserted in the respective columns, namely:
