No. PA/NWFP/Legis-I/2003/17343.—The North-West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2003. having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province on 10th June, 2003 and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on 15th June, 2003 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of the North-West Frontier Province.

THE N.W.F.P URBAN IMMOVABLE PROPERTY TAX (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003.

ACT
further to amend the West Pakistan Urban Immovable Property Tax Act, 1958, and to defer the enforcement of the North-West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001.
Preamble.— WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the West Pakistan Urban Immovable Property Tax Act, 1958 (W.P Act No. V of 1958), and to defer the enforcement of the North-West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001 (N.-W.F.P. Ordinance No. XV of 2001), in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted as follows:
1.             Short title and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the North-West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Act, 2003.
(2)       It shall come into force at once.
2.             Amendment of Schedule to W.P. Act No. V of 1958.—In the West Pakistan Urban Immovable Property Tax Act, 1958 (W.P. Act No V of 1958)—
(i)            in SCHEDULE-I, in the entries at Serial No. 4, for the existing entry at clause (c), the following shall be substituted, namely:
"(c) total of (a) and (b), multiplied by locality factor."; and
(ii)           in SCHEDULE-II, in the entries at Serial No. 5, for the existing entry at clause (c), the following shall be substituted, namely:
"(c) total of (a) and (b), multiplied by locality factor.".
3.             Amendment of section I of N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XV of 2001.—In the North- West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001 (N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. XV of 2001), in section 1, for sub-section (2), the following shall be substituted and shall always be deemed to have been so substituted, namely:
"(2)     It shall come into force on the first day of July, 2002.".
4.             Repeal.—The North-West Frontier Province Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003 (N.-W.F.P. Ord. No. V of 2003), is hereby repealed.
