No. PA/NWFP/Legis/89/6614.—The Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) (Amendment) Bill, 1989 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province on the 18th May, 1989, and assented to by the Governor of the North-West Frontier Province on the 27th May, 1989, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature of North-West Frontier Pro­vince.

ACT


further to amend the Provincial Assembly of the North-West frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Act, 1974
Preamble.---  WHEREAS it is expedient farther to amend the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allow­ances of Members) Act, 1974 (N.-W. F. P. Act No. XI of 1974), for the, purpose hereinafter appearing;
It Is hereby enacted as follows:—

  1. Short title and commencement.--- (1) This Act may be called the Provincial Assembly of the North-West Frontier Province (Salaries, and Allowances of Members) (Amendment) Act, 1989.

(2)       It shall come into force at once.
2.         addition of a new section 3A in the N.-W.F.P. Act No. XI of 1974.---In the Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Act, 1974 (N.-W. F. P. Act No. XI of 1974), after section 3 a new section 3A. may he added namely;
              “3A.  The Leader of Opposition shall, in addition to the salary and allowances and other Privileges admissible to him as a Member be entitled to:—

  1. an honorarium of rupees one thousand per mense;
  2. office accommodation inside the Assembly Building;
  3. the service of  a whole time Stenograper in B-15;
  4. One Naib Qasid in B-l;
  5. installation of telephone in his office room in Assem­bly Building at the cost of Government; provided, that the charges of office telephone calls made there from shall not exceed the ceiling fixed bythe Government from time to time.
