[THE PROVINCIAL SMALL CAUSE COURTS (WEST PAKISTAN AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1969. 1WEST PAKISTAN ORDINANCE NO. VIII OF 1966. [31th March, 1966] AN ORDINANCE to amend the Provincial Small Cause Courts Act, 1887 in its application to the Province of West Pakistan.
Preamble.
AND WHEREAS the Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan is not in session and the Governor of West Pakistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render immediate legislation necessary; NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the powers conferred on him by clause (1) of Article 79, of the Constitution, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:—
Short title , extent and commencement.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Amendment of section 15 Act IX of 1887
(i) for the comma and the words "the Provincial Government", the words and comma "and subject to any directions which the Provincial Government may give in this respect, the High Court, "shall be substituted; and
This Ord. was approved by the W. P. Assembly under Article 79 (3) of the Constitution at its meeting held on 8th June. 1966 see Gazette of W. P. 1966, Extraordinary pages 1617-C to 1617-D.
(ii) for the words "two thousand", the words "five thousand" shall be substituted.
3. In the said Act, in section 27-A. in sub-section (1), for the words, commas, brackets and figures "one thousand rupees or, where the Court is empowered under sub-section (3) of section 15, two thousand rupees,", the words, commas, blacks and figures "two thousand rupees, or, where the Court is empowered under sub-section (3) of section 15, five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
