WEST PAKISTAN ORDINANCE NO XLI OF 1969.

AN ORDINANCE
to declare the expenditure relating to privy parses of Rulers of former States incorporated in the Province of West Pakistan to be a charge on the provincial Consolidated Fund.


            WHEREAS it is expedient to declare the expenditure relating to privy purses of rules, of former States incorporated in the province of West Pakistan to be a charge on the Provincial Consolidated Fund;

Preamble.

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Martial Law proclamation of 25th March 1969, read with provisional Constitution Order and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:—


1.         (1) This Ordinance may be called the West Pakistan Privy Purses (Charged Expenditure) Ordinance, 1969.

Short title, and commencement 

(2) It shall come into force at once.


2.         Any sum paid by the Central Government as privy purses to the Ruler of a former State or his successor under any agreement for the time being in force between the Central Government and such Ruler or his successor, shall, if such State has been incorporated into the province of West Pakistan, be charged on the provincial Consolidated Fund and be re-imbursed to the Central Government out of the said Fund, and any such sum re-imbursed to the Central Government before the coming into force of this Ordinance shall be deemed to have been so charged and paid.
